Prof. Nesrein M. Hashem

She is a staff member at Animal and Fish Production Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University. She started her early career as a demonstrator in 2000 and she occupies a position of Professor of Animal Physiology at the Faculty since 2020. She has professional experience in the field of research, teaching, and society service. She has published about 80 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals (55 article in Scopus) and international conferences and 3 book chapters in different aspects of animal biological sciences, animal production/reproduction, environment, toxicology, and nanotechnology. She has H- index of 17 at Google scholar and H-index of 13 at Scopus.   In addition, she has served as an editor/guest editor for many ISI journals (e.g., Animals, Frontiers in Veterinary Science).  She has served as a reviewer for more than 30 ISI journals. She has supervised 9 students M.Sc. and Ph.D. students up to date and all the thesis results were published in high ranked ISI journals (Q1 journals). She has acted as PI, Co-PI, researcher in many research projects (6 projects) funded by STDF, ASRT, and other research support entities. She has attended about 40 national and international conferences and workshops. She also has international collaboration with peer-colleges from different universities/institutes worldwide in the field of animal biology, veterinary, and biotechnology science such as University of Vigo, Spain - Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain - Lovely Professional University, India - Universidad Tecnologica de Pereira, Colombia - Fundacion Universitaria Autonoma de las Americas, Colombia- INRAE, Clermont Université, France. This research and publication activities nominated her to get the State Encouragement Award for Women, Academy of Scientific Research & Technology (ASRT), the Ministry of Scientific Research, Egypt in 2019 and Alexandria University Award for Scientific Encouragement in 2017. She has 22 years teaching experience and teaches many undergraduate and postgraduate courses for students in both ordinary and language education programs at the faculty in the field of biology, physiology, endocrinology, hematology, environment and adaptation, biotechnology, and animal reproduction. Moreover, she has many social and community service activities. She has also organized several local and international conferences, workshops, and training programs.
